Day 9: Franconia Area, White Mountains - New Hampshire

This additional day in the White Mountains area will give you more time for an extended hike or a chance to take in some mountain biking at Great Glen Trails located on Rt. 16, Pinkham Notch (Gorham).

If you happen to be in the Jackson area at lunchtime you might want to stop in at the Thompson House Eatery on Rt. 16. On the menu you will find inventive fare such as a ham-and-cheddar sandwich laced with apples and maple Dijon.

If you are a shopper, you are in the right area! North Conway (Rt. 16) boasts three Tanger Outlet Centers where bargains abound at a variety of stores.

Dinner and a relaxing soak in the hot tub at your Inn might be in order after another full day of activity. Relax on the back porch and watch the sun set behind Sugar Hill as you talk about your favorite spots in the White Mountains.
